PSE signs agreement to advance clean energy goals with new state solar project

PSE recently closed on an Asset Purchase Agreement with Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of innovative, reliable power infrastructure for the new, 90 MW Schnebly Coulee solar project located in Kittitas County, Washington.

Once operational, the Schnebly Coulee solar project is expected to generate about 213 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year, which is enough energy to power about 20,000 homes, annually. The solar project will also contribute to PSE’s remaining projected resource needs to be Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) compliant.

The Schnebly Coulee solar facility will be built on approximately 1,314 acres of unirrigated land in Kittitas County, not far from PSE’s Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility.
