Did you know PSE operates the electric system more conservatively during the summer to help prevent wildfires? This may result in power outages, and for those with medical needs, a little preparation makes a big difference.
 
If there are medical devices in your home that rely on electricity, call PSE Customer Care to enroll in the Life Support program and create an emergency plan to address backup power.

Keep in mind: In the event of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) during critical fire weather conditions, customers with Life Support status noted in their PSE account will receive phone call notifications from PSE Customer Care, in addition to regular automated customer alerts.
