Important Updates to Flex Smart Plus

On December 31, 2025, the increased rebates for energy efficiency projects on Bainbridge Island will come to an end. Thanks to the participation of Bainbridge Island residents the program has provided rebates for over 450 projects!

Increased rebates being discontinued include: HVAC, smart thermostats, water heating, weatherization, windows, and lighting for single family and multifamily homes. Projects installed and invoiced on or before December 31, 2025, will still be eligible for rebates through the Flex Smart Plus program. Qualifying projects installed January 1, 2026, or later will be eligible to apply for rebates through our standard PSE rebate programs.  

Work must be completed by a PSE Trade Ally participating in Flex Smart Plus. We encourage you to reach out to your preferred Trade Ally as soon as possible to take advantage of the higher rebates while they are still available. Bainbridge Island customers will continue to receive an extra $75 enrollment bonus for joining our automated Flex demand response programs, including: Flex Smart (smart thermostats), Flex EV (electric vehicles), and Flex Water Heaters.
