Helpline Housewarming on June 7
Some new doors are opening in our Bainbridge Island community on June 7. Helpline House is hosting its Helpline Housewarming grand opening event to welcome the community to its brand new, 12,000 square foot facility! The new home at 282 Knechtel Way NE, Bainbridge Island, includes an expanded market with walk-in refrigeration and supporting warehousing space; a community room that can be "rented" at no charge to community groups; and a large number of consult and meeting rooms on its second floor to ensure access to child (ages 5-12) and adult (18 or older) mental health appointments as well as social services case management and navigation — including services provided by PSE — all at no charge to its clients.
While many people are familiar with Helpline House as a food bank, they may be less familiar with the social and mental health wraparound services provided to Bainbridge Island residents which includes any child attending Bainbridge Island schools. "The important work we do here at Helpline House goes far beyond our core food bank. We look forward to providing greater support to our community as we open our doors wide open on June 7th for our Helpline Housewarming grand opening! We hope anyone reading this article will consider joining us for our celebration to learn more about all the ways we serve our community. We couldn't deliver the scope of what we are able to provide to our clients without strong partnerships like those we share with PSE."
Helpline House will host its Helpline Housewarming on June 7 from 1 – 4 p.m. at 282 Knechtel Way NE, Bainbridge Island.
PSE is honored to be a long-time community partner with Helpline House.
