For over 20 years, Vitalize Kitsap (VK) has empowered teens and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to lead lives of meaning and self-determination while creating community connections.
VK members from around Kitsap County meet at the campus on Bainbridge Island for social club groups and to participate in adventures and activities around the region. VK’s individualized programming engages members to pursue their own life goals, develop friendships, and build capacity to grow in a fun and relaxed learning environment. “When people with I/DD are included in our public and workspaces as valued equals, we all benefit!” emphasized Executive Director Kellie Creamer.
PSE is sponsoring Vitalize Kitsap and their Seahawks Watch Party on September 18. Join Vitalize Kitsap at Sons of Norway in Poulsbo, WA from 12 – 5 pm to watch the Hawks play the 49ers and enjoy game day snacks, find a treasure from the silent auction, buy some treats from Puff & Floss, and support Team VK for another strong year of personal growth and community inclusion.
