Routine tree trimming along distribution and transmission lines continues this spring and summer

To maintain safe and reliable power, PSE’s service partner, Asplundh Tree Experts LLC, will continue to trim trees for routine maintenance along the power lines that serve Bainbridge Island.

Over the next several months, crews will trim along the distribution circuits west of SR 305 from NE Day Road to NE New Brooklyn Road and east of SR 305 from Point Monroe to NE Day Road. Crews will also trim along the Foss Corner-Port Madison transmission line and Winslow Tap transmission line.

Except for a few cross-country sections along the Foss Corner-Port Madison and Winslow Tap transmission lines, this work will take place in the road right of way. For safety, crews may temporarily close a traffic lane near the tree trimming. Flaggers would direct traffic around the work area and could hold traffic for a few minutes. Please expect some minor traffic delays near the work area. Crews typically work between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

After completing work in this area, crews will continue tree trimming for routine maintenance on other circuits located throughout Bainbridge Island until mid-2024. If you have questions about this tree trimming work, please contact PSE’s certified arborist and project manager Lynsey Gilreath at
