PSE’s Clean Building Accelerator Helps Commercial Building Owners

In response to the State of Washington’s landmark Clean Building Performance Standard (HB1257), enacted into law in 2021, PSE is helping customers navigate their pathway to compliance through our no-cost Clean Buildings Accelerator program. Owners of commercial buildings greater than 50,000 square feet are subject to the law. The program coaches facility teams to understand the law and its components, assists in measuring energy consumption and target attainment, provides tools and templates for required submissions, and completes virtual energy scans of buildings to identify energy-saving opportunities. Those opportunities identified may qualify for additional incentives through one of PSE’s energy efficiency programs and early adopter incentives offered by the State.

PSE customers are encouraged to sign up for a virtual program overview at and enroll in one of our upcoming group trainings. During the overview, we cover the basics of the law, explain the Clean Building Accelerator program, and help you decide if joining the next cohort of participants is right for you. Our experts will also be available to answer your questions and will follow up with you as needed. We have learned that each building’s path to reach compliance looks a little different.
