PSE supports Kids Discovery Museum summer programs

Campers create art at KiDiMu

PSE has long supported the Kids Discovery Museum and its summer programming. Known as KiDiMu by their pint-sized visitors, the nonprofit is a hands-on children’s museum on Bainbridge Island dedicated to sparking children’s curiosity through play and experiential learning.

This July and August, young campers will embark on amazing adventures with science, arts, imaginative play and more. Guided by experienced instructors and their teen assistants, campers make friends and have a blast through programs such as “Junior Firefighters,” “Around Town,” “Imagine That” and “Kids in Space.” Children learn about teamwork, explore science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) through hands-on activities, and discover how trial and error leads to success.

“Puget Sound Energy has been a great friend of KiDiMu over the years," said Executive Director Susie Burdick. "We are truly grateful to have such a dedicated community partner."

PSE's support enables KiDiMu to hire experienced educators, support children of all backgrounds through the scholarship program and offer engaging curricula that inspire them to become lifelong learners. For more information about KiDiMu and their programs, please visit the KiDiMu website.
