Karen Brubeck, PSE Outreach Manager for Kitsap County, attended the November 2017 Bainbridge Island Downtown Association (BIDA) Partner Meeting, where she presented a B&O donation in the amount of $14,000 to BIDA Board President Elect Barbara Tolliver in support of the organization.
"PSE's support has made a significant difference in our community through the years," said BIDA Executive Director Jerri Lane. "This year's B&O funds help us to fulfill our mission of building community through a vibrant downtown." PSE has a long history of supporting BIDA; since 2015 alone, PSE has contributed over $50,000 in support of the BIDA. "Their support has been vital to our mission, including generously sponsoring community events such as Girls' Day Out, the July 3rd Street Dance, Trick or Treat Downtown, and our six-week Holiday Celebration," says Jerri Lane.
The Main Street tax credit incentive program provides a Business & Occupation (B&O) credit for private contributions given to eligible downtown organizations. Designated Washington Main Street Communities are eligible to receive contributions through this state tax credit program. PSE uses the Main Street Tax Program to leverage donations to eligible organizations across our service territory.
