As part of our solution to improve reliability on the island we’re planning to build the “missing link” transmission line between the Murden Cove and Winslow substations. This year we’ve launched a community engagement process to gather input and feedback with the goal to understand community values and interests around the transmission line.

Ahead of the next Community Sounding Board meeting in October, we are continuing our information sessions to provide you an opportunity to learn more on transmission line-related topics. The second information session will be held on September 17 and will cover electric and magnetic fields (EMF) and how undergrounding electric lines works.

Slides and notes from the first information session, which covered the need for the transmission line as well as the project study, are available on our website. Visit this page to learn more, including how to join the next CSB meeting: https://psebainbridge.participate.online/
