We recently awarded sponsorship awards to two community organizations.

Helpline House's Project Backpack received a $1500 sponsorship to help the project’s mission of providing back-to-school supplies to students with tight budgets. Students from pre-K through 12th grade who register for the project receive a new backpack with essential school supplies to start the year prepared. This year is Helpline House’s 17th annual Project Backpack, and last year the project supported 143 local students!

IslandWood received a $2,000 grant to provide operating support for the 25 community events and programs offered to Bainbridge each year. IslandWood programs connect students and adults with their environment through learning experiences. These programs span from the quarterly “Afternoon on the Trails” hikes, to the annual HOWL-ween celebration for young families, to the specialized nature educational programs on the flora and fauna of Bainbridge. Last year, IslandWood helped over 7,000 adults and children connect with nature!

We are grateful to be a part of the Bainbridge community and have the opportunity to support IslandWood and Helpline House's efforts to make the Island a thriving place. Visit their websites for more information.
