Peacock Family Services’ mission is to promote the healthy social and emotional development of children by providing nurturing and enriching care and family support. Today, the organization embodies these directives through multiple program strands – licensed childcare/preschool center and school-age Nature Nuts programs, their Partners for Early Learning parent/teacher workshops, and hosting the Alliance of Bainbridge Childcare Directors networking group.
Founded in 2009, Peacock Family Services believes that access to high-quality childcare should not be limited to economically advantaged families. As a non-profit, Peacock routinely fundraises for contributed income to not only fill the gaps between the cost of care and what families can afford but also provide need-based and emergency scholarships – which are more critical now than ever before.
“As childcare plays an essential role in children’s early learning and development”, notes Zoe Vrieling, Peacock’s Executive Director, “supporting childcare in our communities also supports the local economy, as it allows parents to return to work and children to maintain continuity in care.”
The PSE Foundation is proud to support Peacock Family Services; the organization received a PSEF grant earlier this year.
