Party for Parks & Trails fundraiser on August 4

PSE is proud to be a Sustaining Partner of the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation and the important work they do.

Every summer, the Foundation leads the Student Conservation Corps (SCOCO) program. This environmental service and learning program puts high school students to work alongside their peers in Bainbridge Island parks and trails, eradicating noxious weeds and restoring critical habitat areas. Special lunchtime speakers each day inspire the students with talks on topics ranging from Northwest plant biology to sustainable home design to careers in environmental fields. Learn more about this program at biparksfoundation.org.

You can support Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation by attending their annual fundraiser, Party for Parks & Trails, on Friday, August 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Strawberry Hill Park on Bainbridge Island. The casual mixer will feature fine local beer and wine, live music, and seasonal small plates and desserts. Proceeds from Party for Parks & Trails support the Foundation’s year-round work on special projects like playgrounds, bike and skate parks, planning and funding new trails island-wide, and volunteer park stewardship and restoration programs.
