Kids Discovery Museum (KiDiMu) serves children and their families as they learn and grow through experiential exhibits and activities centered around STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Focusing on early childhood education, KiDiMu houses exhibits that encourage imaginary play and scientific inquiry; offers art projects, special events, workshops, camps, educational activities, and programming. For nearly two decades, families all over Kitsap and neighboring counties have come to rely on KiDiMu as a haven of educational play opportunities for their families.
With support from Puget Sound Energy, KiDiMu recently released the second book of its Explore series. Explore Bainbridge: Walkable Winslow is designed for young children and their families to explore favorite destinations and locations around Bainbridge Island’s historic downtown through STEAM activities. Children will learn to use a compass, identify local plants and animals, and physics through playground equipment!
