Join us for the Wild & Whiskey History Tour on June 2

PSE, in partnership with the Kittitas County Historical Museum and Elk Heights Distillery, is hosting an all-new way to discover local history with the Wild & Whiskey History Tour on Sunday, June 2 from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m.

The Wild & Whiskey History Tour will begin at PSE’s Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Renewable Energy Center (located 16 miles east of Ellensburg on Vantage Highway), where attendees will have the opportunity to tour a wind turbine and the region of Whiskey Dick Mountain. From there, attendees will visit the Kittitas County Historical Museum for a tour and presentation about the Prohibition and local moonshiners. Attendees will finish the tour at Elk Heights Distillery to discover what it takes to make a great whiskey and sample the wonderful flavors the distillery has to offer.

For more information about the event and to purchase tickets, visit the event page. Please note, tickets are limited and you must be 21 years or older to attend.

Proceeds from the Wild & Whiskey History Tour will benefit the Kittitas County Historical Museum.

If you can’t make the Wild & Whiskey History Tour, the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Renewable Energy Center offers free guided tours daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. between April and October 31, weather permitting.

The hour-long walking tour explores the solar array, wind turbine blade, turbine generator and gearbox, and lets you look inside the base of an active wind turbine! Learn more by visiting the facility’s tour information page.
