Join IslandWood April 7 for an afternoon on the trails

IslandWood is an environmental education nonprofit serving children, educators and community members throughout the Puget Sound region. The organization believes every child should have access to the sense of wonder and discovery that comes from meaningful experiences in the natural world. IslandWood was founded to increase access and lower financial barriers to nature-based learning for our region’s children. In a typical year, IslandWood programs reach 50 school districts, 250 schools and 25,000 children across the region.

On Sunday, April 7, you and your family and friends can join IslandWood for an Afternoon on the Trails. Enjoy their 250-acre campus of trails and wildlife at your leisure during their open trails day on beautiful Bainbridge Island. And like all good things – it’s free! Challenge yourself to an exhilarating hike, meander through the trails to find treehouses and the Canopy Tower or spend some quiet time observing wildlife at Mac’s Pond. IslandWood staff will have maps available and are happy to suggest a route suitable for your group. Learn more about the event and get your tickets here.

PSE is proud to be a long-time sponsor of IslandWood and their work to provide nature-based programming.
