Highlighting the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum

Did you know that Pickleball was invented by a Bainbridge Island resident during the summer of 1965?  That’s just one of many interesting facts you could learn about the history of Bainbridge Island during a visit to the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum (BIHM). We’re excited to share that the museum has partially reopened and is operating Monday through Friday at reduced capacity limits to abide with current public health guidelines.

Pop in to see the new exhibit, Vanishing Bainbridge, which explores the history of the Island through the lens of the built environment. BIHM also actively collects and preserves more than 10,000 cultural materials, photographs, and oral/video histories about the Island.
