Project Description

In 2016, PSE completed the Foss Corner – Port Madison Transmission upgrade project which included increasing the electric capacity of the existing line as well as pole and equipment replacement to support the higher capacity lines. This work occurred on an existing transmission line between the Foss Corner substation in Poulsbo and the Port Madison substation on Bainbridge Island.

Project map: Of the 9.4-mile Foss Corner – Port Madison 115 kV transmission line rebuild, 2.5 miles were on Bainbridge Island and generally followed Highway 395 from the Kitsap Peninsula to east of Manzanita Park.
