As part of Puget Sound Energy’s work to improve the reliability of the energy we supply to Bainbridge Island we conducted a series of distribution reliability projects across the Island.
In 2016, we installed an underground distribution line along Eagle Harbor Drive and converted the overhead distribution system to underground along Wyatt Way NW. This work connected two lines together and provided a redundant source of power to the homes in the area. Should one line go down, power can be looped from the second line, thereby, keeping the lights on.
