Day of Preparedness on September 23 focuses on family and child safety

Celebrating its eighth consecutive year, the annual Day of Preparedness welcomes the Bainbridge and greater Kitsap community to learn how to better prepare for natural and other disasters. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Commodore Options School Lower Gymnasium. This year’s focus will be on family and child safety, with presentations on the island’s emergency shelter plans, child-family reunification process, wildfire evacuation routes, first-aid (with freebies), and more. Find more details about the event here.

The event is hosted by Bainbridge Prepares, the City of Bainbridge Island, the Bainbridge Island Fire Department, Kitsap Regional Library, the Bainbridge Island Rotary Club, the Bainbridge Island Metro Park and Recreation District, and Bainbridge Island School District.

PSE is pleased to sponsor Day of Preparedness and the necessary work of Bainbridge Prepares.
