Puget Sound Energy is proud to sponsor the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art’s (BIMA) annual fine arts auction!
Join us for BIMA’s annual fine arts online auction, where you can bid on Northwest art and craft, unique experiences, and fine wine and spirits. Accompanying this event, is the affordable Collectors Marketplace of art, craft, jewelry, antiques, and collectibles – something for ever art lover and every budget!
On September 19, 2021 at 10 a.m., BIMA members receive first access to purchase collectors marketplace items, and bid or take advantage of buy-it-now prices for the auction items. Then beginning September 22 at 10 a.m. the fine wine and spirits section will open and bidding will be open to the general public. The auction closes on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 5 p.m. Proceeds from the online auction support these programs, exhibitions and enables us to keep BIMA free to all.
In 2020, the event had over 700 households bidding and buying from all over the country.
“We were absolutely blown away by how our community came together to support our mission during last year’s online fundraising event. From right here on Bainbridge Island to South Carolina, over in Seattle to New Mexico, we had bidders and buyers showing their love for BIMA from all across the country,” stated Peter Raffa, Director of Development.
There are over 100 auction items including artwork from Kurt Solssman, Preston Singletary, Steve Jensen, Marceil DeLacy, Max Grover, Chris Maynard, and David Eisenhour. Plus experiences include a trip to Palm Desert, monotype workshop with an artist, a vacation rental in Winthrop, and a weekend stay at the Inn at Pleasant Beach. Local artisans have donated jewelry and a local collector recently donated 80 vintage jewelry pieces for the marketplace and auction.
