Bainbridge Prepares builds resilient communities

The mission of Bainbridge Prepares, a registered 501c3 nonprofit founded ten years ago, has been to build resilient communities in the Puget Sound area before disasters occur, and actively respond if and when they do. In 2021 alone, their 650+ volunteers contributed 38,000 hours responding to public health, severe weather, and other emergencies in Kitsap, Jefferson, and neighboring counties.

Bainbridge Prepares, along with its core partners the City of Bainbridge Island and the BI Fire Department, will be hosting the 7th annual Day of Preparedness event at Bainbridge City Hall. There you’ll be able to learn how to “Stop the Bleed”, get CPR training and learn other preparedness skills. Stay tuned to the bainbridgeprepares.org website as more details of the event are posted.

PSE is sponsoring the Day of Preparedness and will have a table at the event. PSE and the PSE Foundation are long-time partners with Bainbridge Prepares, supporting the critical work the organization does in the community.
